Tuesday is official photo, brake test and weigh in day. Also new for 2010 you could take an additional practice run which both or our racers did.

Autumn started the day at 7:30 a.m. with her official photo from the top of the hill.

After a brake test Autumn went right to the hill for her practice run. Here she is just a moment after the paddle released her.

Here is Autumn driving in lane 3 for her practice run. Looks lonely today but just wait until Saturday. This place will be packed.

Here is Tony Vincent adjusting the weights in Autumn's car. Did we tell you it helps to have long arms if you are on the pit crew? And what is with the two pair of sunglasses?

Here Pat and Cass have their photo taken from the top.

Lets go racing. Hunker down Cass you have to get lower! Check out the car from Beaumont, TX. I wonder if she knows Buddy Holly?

Just how much do you weigh Cass Turner?

You must weigh 230 exactly in a super stock car.

Ok so we had to take out a few pounds. What did you have for breakfast Cass? Lead pancakes?

Since Autumn started at 7:30 a.m. she got through a little earlier than Cass and had some free time. Don't you have to have a license to drive that Autumn? Oh well I guess being a Soap Box Derby VIP has a few perks.

Ok Autumn will probably kill me but when I saw this picture I could not resist sharing. This is from the opening ceremonies yesterday. Note to self.....remind girl racers to tie their hair up before opening ceremonies. Is that Autumn or cousin It?
