Anyone who has been to Akron knows that the day starts with a long line. Bet you can't find us in the line.

What do you do while waiting? Why trade buttons of course. Here is Cass and Autumn with Rebekah Hoak from New York. Rebekah is 13 and races Rally Super Stock.

Oh what a difference a year makes. The first picture is Cass from 2009. When you roll over the image you will see Cass from 2010. Maybe this is not so bad after all right Cass?

It is part of the pageantry of the Soap Box Derby Autumn. Besides we warned you.

Here Cass signs the official board that has been used for decades.

And here is Autumn. It took her a minute to get over the kiss thing but she finally made it to the stage and signed her name.

Here is Cass and Masaki Sumiya of Japan. Give him a break it is still the middle of the night in Japan you would be sleepy too.

Here Autumn makes a few friends. McKenna Burgwin from Syracuse, NY, Autumn and Kelcie Conley from Harrisonburg, VA.

Here are the movie cameras set up filming the new Soap Box Derby movie. Hollywood comes to Akron!

Finally here is what it looks like if you climb to the top of the highest building in the area. Of course you are also out of breath and wondering why you did such a thing. This is Canal Park and the champs are throwing out their items from the tent in the center of the picture. Look closely and you can see a motorcycle officer escorting a champ into Akron.

VIP Status

Anyone who has followed the derby knows that we strive for the coveted VIP status which means that our cars arrived with no deficiencies. Autumn and Cass both received VIP status and have put the tops back on their cars and are ready for tomorrow.
