Daily Solid Waste Collection

The Solid Waste Section collects residential solid waste four days a week. Its takes two trucks, and six persons to collect refuse from every resident in Athens once a week. During holiday weeks the schedule is changed to accommodate for the holiday. This is usually done by setting the schedule back one day following the holiday. New customers please call Public Works to find out what day of the week your solid waste is collected. We ask you to have all refuse to the curb by 7:00 AM on your collection day.
